Answering to my friend Paco Piniella, as whom I have affection and respect, in the brought in Cuba it divides the left, I would not like to say to him that it is not true. It is true that in the Left, in particular in Izquierda Unida there is the one who defends Cuba as it is and others, that we defend many of the obtained achievements but that we do not agree with the absence of freedom of expression, with the prisoners' existence of conscience, as I have already expressed clearly in more than one occasion.
But dividing of to that that is like that, yes that I would like referring to some other things that fracture the left, that they have a lot to do with the national politics that from parties that are said about left is observed and that certainly they are difficult, for not saying impossibly, a real union of the left. There are topics that they mean and they have always meant democratic values of the left, and that nevertheless the Spanish socialist party as organization – I know that there are some members who do not agree with his direction, show it and defend it publicly — he forgets, obviates, or, worse still, it defends just what it defends his political opponents, forming this tweezer that sometimes they want to place to that we are to his left. 
And I do not speak about slightly important things, at least for me. I refer to the form of the State. The Spanish socialist party, in once defender of the republicanism, today not only does not put in question the figure of the king, but it strengthens it and defends it.
Or why not, also do I refer to this disrespect that the socialistic party demonstrates with the laicism, when not only the conditions do not happen so that the Constitution is fulfilled in his captured aconfesionalidad, but it keeps on subsidizing to the Church, increasing his asginación and, some of his leaders take part and they make to inform the State in religious rituals.
Or perhaps we might speak about the Historical Memory. This memory to which there has been done to him a deplorable law, where the proper victims or his heirs are those who have to take the initiative, and where there are not annulled the pro-Franco judgments that were celebrated of arbitrary form and without any guarantee.
Or perhaps to be missing to democratic values how to forget that the first democratic premise that has to be fulfilled is: a person a vote, and it turns out that for proper expediencies there is supported an electoral law that allows to be, in this moment, a relation 1:7, or that every vote of a party, in this case Izquierda Unida, costs mathematically the seventh part that one of the Spanish socialist party.
And why not – I will end not to make it very long — your economic policy from which the powerful ones always escape and of which you take measures that unfortunately harm the everlasting ones, without attacking the tax evasion, without putting special taxes to the big capitals and bonds, without penalizing the SICAV, without using a public banking to facilitate the credit …
Wanted Paco, let's not blame to Cuba, which does, undoubtedly, sew badly, but it gives me the impression of that what separates us is in many less kilometers. Although in the exterior the Sahara or Middle East is also and there also there are sensitive differences. Certainly allow to me to doubt – not of you, personally — that the Spanish socialist party is a party of lefts, a party that supports the monarchy, which subsidizes to the catholic Church more that a party that supports an unjust electoral system, anyway, might never continue, but let's leave it there. And allow me to conclude that there are ideological topics of the first magnitude, that you are not capable of solving position that you have turned into a party catch votes, and well that I feel. That, friend, yes that breaks and fractures the Left, or simply it leaves it.
Although perhaps I am wrong.
